The Delaware Art Museum is showcasing three new exhibitions that explore the evolution and diversity in printmaking, artistic experimentation, and mentorship. These exhibitions, drawn from the museum's collection, include "Marisol to Warhol: Printmaking and Creative Collaboration," "Inked Impressions: Etchings in the Age of Whistler," and "John Sloan and His Students."

Margaret Winslow, the Head Curator and Curator of Contemporary Art, stated, "These exhibitions highlight the richness of the DelArt’s collection and the many ways artists have explored, adapted, and innovated through different artistic techniques.” The exhibitions are set to uncover stories of printmakers and artists spanning two centuries.

The exhibition "Marisol to Warhol: Printmaking and Creative Collaboration," open until September 7, 2025, features significant figures in 20th-century American art, such as Andy Warhol and Salvador Dalí. It explores the collaborative nature of printmaking and artistic exploration across media. Included is a special loan from Art Bridges—a painting by William T. Williams—and works by local artists Oscar Eduardo de Paz, Cony Madariaga, and Alim Smith.

"Inked Impressions: Etchings in the Age of Whistler," available through July 27, 2025, delves into the etching revival, focusing on artists like James McNeill Whistler. It highlights different etching techniques and includes a video demonstration, providing a look into intaglio printmaking.

"John Sloan and His Students," set for viewing from April 19, 2025, to August 24, 2025, examines John Sloan’s influence as a mentor at the Art Students League. The exhibition includes works by his students, depicting a range of styles and genres, and honors the 150th anniversary of the League.

These exhibitions are supported by various sponsors, including Art Bridges, the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Delaware Division of the Arts.
