Fallcraft

City of Wilmington issued the following announcement on Sept. 25.

Taste of Trolley Square is an annual festival that invites attendees to re-acquaint themselves with the thriving retail community nestled in the city’s northern quadrant. Taste of Trolley is a FREE family festival that takes place September 28 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Now in its fifth year, this event has become a popular annual tradition.

Retailers and businesses offer sidewalk sales and a Retail Scavenger Hunt for prizes. The restaurants feature small plates for sampling popular restaurant offerings with craft beer pairings. There are wine tastings at Moore Brothers Wine Shop, and right next store Toscana offers a spirits sampling station. Samples are pay as you stroll.  This annual celebration of “All Things Trolley” showcases one of Wilmington’s most vibrant communities.

“This neighborhood open house is a great way to highlight the businesses in this storied area of the city,” said Mayor Mike Purzycki. “What a wonderful way to invite both neighbors and visitors to explore this neighborhood. Taste of Trolley is a unique opportunity to discover all that Trolley Square has to offer.”

There is no admission charge and activities are all free. Live acoustic music in Rockford Shops and free kids’ attractions and special demonstrations/exhibits in the Acme Trolley Square Shopping Center and Rockford Shops will be offered throughout the day.

Taste of Trolley is presented by the City of Wilmington, Harrison Properties, Delaware Subaru, Acme, Delaware Lottery, St. Francis Healthcare, Standard Distributing, Breakthru Bev, Out&About Magazine. It is produced by Event Allies.
