On March 8, 2025, Rochester criticized the current administration's approach to aviation safety and government contracts. She stated, "There’s never been a plan. Planes are falling out of the sky and this admin wants to fire the people in charge of helping them land safely. All to justify giving their billionaire friends’ companies lucrative government contracts. They’re looking out for themselves, not you."

Later that day, she marked International Women's Day by reflecting on her own historic role as a female leader in politics. She tweeted, "Proud to join women worldwide in celebrating International Women's Day. As the first woman and woman of color to represent DE in the House and the Senate, I know today isn't just about recognizing the progress we've made– it’s a reminder of all that must be done to preserve it."
