On March 6, 2025, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester criticized former President Donald Trump's trade policies in a tweet: "Translation: Trump's reckless trade wars are already hollowing out YOUR retirement."

Later that day, she expressed concern about the current administration's actions in another post dated March 6, 2025: "This is exactly right. This administration taking away health care, firing public servants, and sowing chaos is what makes communities less safe. Want to make our communities safer? Here's the blueprint."

In a subsequent tweet from the same date, she reflected positively on a meeting with representatives from YMCA Delaware: "Was so glad to sit down with friends from @ymcade to talk about how I can support them in my new role as their Senator. It was wonderful to hear from Melina, a youth advocate, about the positive impact programs at the Y have had on her!"
