Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Delaware's at-large district since 2017, recently expressed her positions on various political issues through a series of tweets. Born in Philadelphia in 1962 and residing in Wilmington, she has been vocal about her stances on education and veterans' affairs.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Blunt Rochester stated her intention to vote against Linda McMahon’s nomination, citing concerns for the "kids, parents, teachers, and schools across Delaware that rely on the Department of Education." She announced her decision via a tweet: "For the kids, parents, teachers, and schools across Delaware that rely on the Department of Education, I’m headed to the Senate floor to vote 'no' on Linda McMahon’s nomination."

The following day, March 4, she tweeted about attending an address with a guest who is a former federal worker from Middletown. In her tweet "My guest for tonight’s address is a fired federal worker from Middletown. Unlike the DOGE boys, her job was actually making sure your tax dollars are spent efficiently," she criticized former President Trump's policies by stating they favor billionaires over families.

Later that day, she commented on Trump's history regarding military veterans in another tweet: "This is yet another installment in Trump’s long history of demeaning the brave men and women who served in our nation’s armed forces." She noted that many veterans are now unemployed due to actions taken by his administration.
