Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, has voiced her concerns on social media regarding actions taken by former President Donald Trump. Through a series of tweets, she expressed her commitment to protecting Delawareans and criticized Trump's approach to federal budget changes.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Blunt Rochester tweeted: "I remain laser focused on protecting Delawareans from Trump’s attack on federal dollars." She emphasized the constitutional role of Congress in controlling federal spending and insisted that any budget changes must be approved by Congress.

In another tweet on the same day, she shared her decision not to support Mr. Duffy's nomination due to Trump's actions: "We had productive discussions, and I voted him out of committee... but with Donald Trump’s decision last night to unconstitutionally freeze funding approved by Congress, I could not support Mr. Duffy’s nomination."

Later that day, Rep. Blunt Rochester urged constituents to share their concerns about the impact of the administration's decisions: "Please keep reaching out to our offices to tell us how this illegal power grab by the Trump Administration would impact you and your loved ones." She reassured them of her commitment to standing up for their interests.
