Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, who has been serving Delaware's at-large district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting significant events and celebrations in Delaware. Born in Philadelphia in 1962 and residing in Wilmington, Rochester has been an active participant in her state's community and environmental efforts.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Blunt Rochester commemorated Delaware Day by reflecting on the historical significance of the state being the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution. She tweeted: "On this day in 1787, Delaware became the first state to ratify the U.S. Constitution, cementing our legacy as the First (and best) State in the nation. Happy Delaware Day to all! #ItsGoodToBeFirst"

On December 9, 2024, she participated in Rehoboth Beach Main Street's 30th Annual Community Unity Dinner and extended her congratulations to those recognized for their service. Her tweet read: "Great to join Rehoboth Beach Main Street for its 30th Annual Community Unity Dinner tonight. Congratulations to the honorees and everyone involved for their service to Rehoboth Beach and to our state!"

Later that same day, Rep. Blunt Rochester attended an event celebrating the Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund. Emphasizing bipartisan efforts for environmental preservation, she tweeted: "As we celebrated the Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund this morning, we reflected on the importance of passing on a healthy & clean environment to future generations. Alongside our regional partners, I look forward to continuing this bipartisan work for years to come."
