Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, serving Delaware’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared insights on community investments and educational commitments through a series of tweets. Born in Philadelphia in 1962, she has been a representative for Delaware since replacing John Carney in 2017.

On November 18, 2024, Rep. Blunt Rochester highlighted the values guiding St. Michael's in Wilmington's East Side for over 130 years: "I am. I think. I care. I will. I lead.” She expressed pride that a new federal investment would aid their continued evolution to meet community needs (source).

Later that day, she celebrated the opening of a new library in Selbyville, acknowledging libraries as central to communities across the state. The library is one of nine receiving $40 million from the American Rescue Plan (source).
