Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester, serving Delaware's at-large district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently took to social media to address several pressing issues. Born in Philadelphia and residing in Wilmington, she has been a congressional figure focused on health and education.

On February 21, 2025, Rep. Blunt Rochester stated her efforts early that morning: "This morning, around 4:15 am, I put forth an amendment to the Senate Republicans' budget that would have addressed the wrongful termination of federal employees who protect the health and safety of Americans." She noted that this amendment was ultimately rejected by Republican members.

Later that day, on February 21, Rep. Blunt Rochester expressed concern over proposed budget cuts affecting medical research funding. She commented: "These NIH funding cuts threaten research happening in Delaware on heart disease, cancer, diabetes, stroke recovery, & more." She criticized the administration's priorities regarding these cuts.

On February 22, Rep. Blunt Rochester attended an event at Delaware Technical Community College celebrating National TRIO Day and the program's six-decade history. In her words: "I was proud to be at Delaware Technical Community College in Dover today to celebrate National TRIO Day and 60 years of the TRIO Programs!"
