CITY OF WILMINGTON: City Government Offices Will Be Closed Election Day, Tuesday, November 3; Trash Collection Schedule is Modified

City Of Wilmington issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.

Wilmington City government offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in observance of Election Day. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect trash on a modified holiday schedule:

  • Monday, November 2: East of I-95 trash collection
  • Tuesday, November 3: No trash collection
  • Wednesday, November 4: West of I-95 trash collection
Collection of recyclables will continue as regularly scheduled on Thursday, November 5 for areas east of I-95, and on Friday, November 6 for areas west of I-95.

Mayor Purzycki today encouraged citizens to exercise their right to vote on Tuesday.
