The University of Delaware men’s basketball program announced on May 5 that transfer Kachi Nzeh will join the team for the 2026-27 season. Head coach Martin Ingelsby said Nzeh is expected to strengthen the team’s front line and provide both offensive and defensive versatility.
Nzeh, a 6-foot-8 forward, played last season at Little Rock where he started all 32 games. He averaged 28.2 minutes, 11.7 points, and 4.8 rebounds per game, in addition to recording 42 assists and 30 blocks. He also scored a career-high of 30 points against Arkansas State.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kachi to our Blue Hen basketball family,” Ingelsby said. “He is an impact forward that will bolster our front line and give us both offensive and defensive versatility. Welcome to Newark, Kachi!”
Before joining Little Rock, Nzeh attended Penn State for the 2024-25 season where he made two starts in his 29 appearances, averaging 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while shooting over sixty percent from the field. He began his college career at Xavier with four starts in nineteen games as a freshman.
In high school at The George School, Nzeh was rated as the No.2 player in Pennsylvania by recruiting service 247Sports and received several accolades including Philadelphia Sports Digest Non-PIAA Player of the Year honors for averaging double-digit points and rebounds throughout his junior year.
