Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Delaware’s at-large district, shared her views on recent political events through a series of tweets. Her statements addressed issues ranging from justice for those involved in the January 6th events to birthday wishes for a fellow senator and concerns over changes to civil rights protections.

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester reflected on her experience during the January 6th Capitol riot, stating "I was trapped up in the Gallery on January 6th. Allowing those that were involved to escape justice is an insult to our democracy and to the police who were injured and lost their lives. President Trump can issue as many pardons as he likes – but they will not change the truth."

The following day, on January 23, 2025, she extended birthday wishes to Senator Tom Carper, expressing admiration for his service: "Today, I am wishing a very happy birthday to the biggest fan of birthdays, Senator Tom Carper! I am proud to be expanding on his decades of service to keep delivering for Delawareans. Enjoy your day!"

Later that same day, Rep. Blunt Rochester criticized former President Trump's decision regarding federal contractors: "President Trump just rolled back a 60-year-old, civil rights-era executive order that prohibited discrimination by federal contractors. This is a terrible step back. And he won't stop here."
