Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, shared several updates on social media regarding recent developments and historical reflections.

On January 21, 2025, Rep. Rochester congratulated Delaware's newly appointed Governor Matt Meyer and Lieutenant Governor Kyle Evans Gay. She expressed her enthusiasm for future collaboration to benefit the state: "Congratulations to Delaware’s new Governor @MattMeyerDE and Lieutenant Governor @KyleEvansGay! Looking forward to working together to serve and deliver for the First State."

Later that day, she addressed small business owners in a tweet promoting the EDGE grant competition aimed at providing capital assistance: "Are you a new or prospective small business owner in need of capital to grow or start your business? Have under 10 full time employees? The EDGE grant competition can help! Learn more at the DE Division of Small Business' webinar tomorrow."

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Rochester commemorated Shirley Chisholm's historic swearing-in as the first Black woman in Congress 56 years ago. She highlighted Chisholm's enduring legacy and its impact on current members of The Black Caucus: "#OTD 56 years ago, Shirley Chisholm was sworn in as the first Black woman to ever serve in Congress. With her remarkable courage, she inspired generations of Black women to enter public service."
