City of Newark issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
The existing Customer Connect portal and our 24 hour automated payment system (IVR) used to pay utility bills will be turned off today at 5PM. Customers will not have the ability to make online or over the phone payments until the start of business on Monday 12/9/19 when our new Customer Connect portal is launched. Customers are still able to make payments in person during normal business hours on Friday 12/6/19 between the hours of 8:30 and 4:00.
