City Of Newark issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
Academy Street will be closed on Friday, October 11th and Saturday, October 12th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays between Lovett Avenue and Courtney Street and should follow the posted detour signs.
