Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, used her social media platform to address recent political developments and express concerns about legislative priorities.
On November 4, 2025, Senator Blunt Rochester posted on X that “Last night, @SenJeffMerkley tried to push this administration to obey the courts and feed hungry Americans. Republicans stepped in to object. It’s no secret our communities need help— why are they standing in our way?”
The following day, she commented on the results of recent national events, stating on November 5, 2025: “Last night, Americans across the country made it clear: they want leaders who stand up to bullies, work to bring down costs, and fight to protect their access to health care. @SenateDems are ready.”
Later that same day, she added another post expressing concern about current political focus: “I wish they would focus on helping struggling Americans, but this isn’t a good sign.”
Blunt Rochester has consistently represented Delaware in Congress since replacing John Carney in 2017. Born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently residing in Wilmington, she graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in 1985.
