Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, recently posted a series of statements on her social media account criticizing President Trump’s administration and addressing constitutional rights and women’s issues.

On April 1, 2026, Senator Blunt Rochester commented on the state of the job market under President Trump, writing: “Despite President Trump’s repeated promises, the U.S. job market continues to weaken. He’s nothing if not consistent…”.

Later that day, she addressed citizenship rights in another post: “We need to call this what it is: a blatant attempt to trample on the Constitution because of politics. If you were born in the United States, you are a citizen.”

On April 2, 2026, during Women’s History Month, Senator Blunt Rochester highlighted legislative efforts supporting women in the workforce while criticizing actions by the Trump administration: “This Women’s History Month, I joined my colleagues in introducing the Working Women’s Bill of Rights to empower women in our nation’s workforce. The Trump administration celebrated by doubling down on a lawsuit arguing that women’s professional development events are illegal.”

Lisa Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985.
