Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, representing Delaware’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared her experiences and views on various events and issues through a series of tweets.
On June 21, 2025, Senator Rochester expressed her enjoyment at attending the HBCU Week Awards Gala. She stated, “Had a great time at the @hbcuweek Awards Gala! Saw some familiar faces and celebrated the success of #HBCUWeek.”
Later that day, she extended her gratitude to TheDebcc for their efforts in organizing a community event. In her tweet, she remarked, “Thank you to @TheDebcc for hosting their 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration last night in Wilmington and for all they do for businesses in our state.”
On June 22, 2025, Senator Rochester addressed concerns over recent military actions by the President. She tweeted about the legality and implications of these actions: “The President’s unilateral military engagement in Iran without Congressional approval is illegal and could potentially move us closer to a war in the Middle East. Congress deserves answers regarding the facts that led to the decision to strike and what subsequent plans are in”
Lisa Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in 1985. She resides in Wilmington.
