Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, has recently commented on several national issues through her official Twitter account.

On April 2, 2026, Blunt Rochester criticized President Trump’s economic policies, stating: “It’s been a year of President Trump’s harmful tariffs and promises to bring back American manufacturing. Since then, all we’ve gotten is higher costs and rising unemployment. ‘Liberation Day’ hasn’t liberated anyone from anything.”

Later that day, she addressed changes within the Justice Department: “Pam Bondi reshaped the Justice Department around protecting President Trump, and even that wasn’t enough to keep her job. Now, Trump’s personal attorney will temporarily take her place. The Justice Department is intended to serve the American people, not the president.” This statement followed recent developments in federal leadership roles.

On April 3, 2026, Blunt Rochester marked a milestone for Delaware Libraries by posting: “Happy 125th birthday to @DELibraries! Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, Duck Creek Regional Library was able to build a brand new extension. Yesterday, we got to celebrate!”

Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in 1985.
