Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, recently addressed several topics on her social media account, ranging from holiday greetings to commentary on federal spending and presidential rhetoric.

On April 5, 2026, Blunt Rochester posted a message marking the religious holidays: “Wishing a very blessed Easter and Passover to all who celebrate. May the holidays bring our world peace, resurrect love, and provide abundant joy to you and your loved ones.”

The following day, April 6, she commented on federal budget priorities by listing what $1.5 trillion could fund: “Things that $1.5 trillion can pay for: -Universal drinking water for 13 years -Nationwide Medicaid -Nationwide SNAP benefits -Nationwide Child Tax Credit”.

Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985.
