Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, addressed recent national issues through a series of posts on her official social media account.

On August 26, 2025, Senator Blunt Rochester commented on the decision by Mr. Antoni to testify before her committee and concerns over economic data reliability. She stated, “I’m glad Mr. Antoni will heed our calls to testify before our committee. Replacing the BLS head won’t change the reality that the economy is suffering.

If our businesses and trade partners can’t trust the data we produce, the impact on our economy could be disastrous.”

The following day, August 27, she responded to a tragic incident involving students: “My prayers and condolences are with the students whose lives were taken and the community that will forever be marred by this senseless act of violence.

We don’t have to accept this as a part of daily life.

We can – and must – keep up the fight for commonsense gun safety laws.”

Later that same day, Senator Blunt Rochester criticized what she described as an unlawful dismissal within the Federal Reserve: “Lisa Cook’s illegal firing is yet another attempt by this admin to denigrate public servants in favor of political loyalists tasked with covering up their struggling economy.

Stability & impartiality in the Federal Reserve is critical.

This administration is threatening both.”

Senator Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She earned her BA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985. Her ongoing congressional service began after replacing John Carney in 2017.
