Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, recently addressed several issues on her social media account, focusing on domestic economic concerns and international humanitarian efforts.

On July 28, 2025, Senator Blunt Rochester highlighted her collaboration with another senator in addressing key policy areas: “My Sister Senator @Sen_Alsobrooks and I are in this together! We’re laser focused on bringing down costs for families and keeping our communities safe and healthy.”

The following day, she criticized government spending priorities in a post dated July 29, 2025: “Spending billions of taxpayer dollars to upgrade your private jet is hardly a priority. Doing it while you’re kicking millions of Americans off their health care and leaving them to starve is shameful. Even this administration knows that, so they’re trying to hide the price tag.”

Later that same day, Senator Blunt Rochester called for increased U.S. engagement in response to the crisis in Gaza: “We can’t stand by as Gaza starves. It is time for us to reclaim our leadership role on the global stage, expand access to humanitarian aid, and aggressively pursue a just peace. Today I joined @SenAdamSchiff in an urgent call for this administration to step up and do more.”

Lisa Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in 1985. Since succeeding John Carney in Congress eight years ago, she has continued to advocate for both domestic welfare policies and international humanitarian initiatives.
