North New Castle News publication area sees 782 H-1B petitions from employers during 2024

Employers based in the North New Castle News publication area submitted 782 H-1B petitions during 2024, according to data provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub. Of these, 748 were approved (95.7%), while 34 were denied (4.3%).

Employers are classified under industries based on their reported operations and may be involved in multiple industries.

The H-1B visa program allows U.S. employers to temporarily hire foreign workers in specialty occupations requiring specialized knowledge and at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Meanwhile, the Manufacturing industry was the second largest contributor, filing 89 petitions (11.4% of the total), with an approval rate of 96.6%.

The North New Castle News publication area employers with the most petitions during 2024 included It Resources, Inc., which filed 49 petitions with an approval rate of 98%, Infocons, Inc. with 42 petitions and an approval rate of 100%, and Incyte Corporation, which filed 33 petitions with an approval rate of 97%.

Compared to 2023, the North New Castle News publication area saw a 13% increase in the number of H-1B petitions during 2024.
