Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, posted several messages on her social media account on September 5, 2025, addressing topics ranging from sports to economic policy.

In her first post of the day, Blunt Rochester expressed support for the Philadelphia Eagles with a brief message: “GO BIRDS!!” (September 5, 2025).

Shortly after, she commented on an unspecified individual’s ambitions with another post: “Kinda strange for the guy who wants a Nobel Peace Prize.” (September 5, 2025).

Later in the day, Blunt Rochester addressed concerns about economic reporting and government transparency. She wrote: “When BLS reported how bad this administration’s economy is, Trump fired the commissioner. Now, as another weak jobs report looms, there are ‘technical difficulties’ with the BLS site that publishes job data. This admin can’t hide from their record, no matter how hard they try.” (September 5, 2025).

Blunt Rochester was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She earned her BA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985 and succeeded John Carney as Delaware’s representative in Congress.
