Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, U.S. Congresswoman representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, recently shared updates on her official activities and policy positions through a series of posts on social media.

On August 12, 2025, Blunt Rochester posted about her visit to Dover Air Force Base, stating: “At Dover Air Force Base this morning for a briefing on important issues. Especially grateful to see the Base’s Child Development Center and the Military & Family Readiness Center and hear about how they support our military families.”

The following day, she highlighted her engagement with conservation efforts in Delaware. On August 13, 2025, she wrote: “Visited Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge yesterday where I got to hear about critical research & conservation initiatives, learn Delaware history, & do some birdwatching. Their efforts are critical as we work to pass one of Delaware’s natural treasures on to future”

Addressing national policy concerns on August 14, 2025, Blunt Rochester commented on federal responses to homelessness in Washington D.C.: “Deploying the National Guard to DC is a waste of federal resources. I’m especially concerned for the unhoused people in the District. Forcibly arresting people does nothing to end homelessness. I stand with @homeless_law and advocates against this senseless crackdown.”

Blunt Rochester has served as Delaware’s at-large representative in Congress since succeeding John Carney in 2017. She was born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently resides in Wilmington. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
