Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, a U.S. Congress member representing Delaware’s at-large district since 2017, addressed a range of national and international issues in recent posts on her official Twitter account.
On October 9, 2025, Blunt Rochester commented on the Middle East conflict, stating in a post, “Last night’s announcement of a possible agreement between Israel and Hamas provides hope for an end to the devastating war in the Middle East. I’ve long called for a ceasefire in Gaza that would ensure”.
Later that same day, she reached across the political aisle regarding domestic economic hardship, writing on October 9, 2025: “Rep. Greene and I agree on almost nothing, but she’s right: people are having a hard time getting by right now, and doing nothing isn’t an option.”
In another statement on October 10, 2025, Blunt Rochester criticized former President Donald Trump’s legal actions against public officials. She posted: “Letitia James successfully took Trump to court, now it’s clear he’s using the DOJ for revenge.
He knows that the best way to avoid being held accountable for breaking the law is to threaten and jail the people who try.
This is vengeance, not justice.”
Blunt Rochester has served as Delaware’s at-large representative since succeeding John Carney in 2017. Born in Philadelphia in 1962 and currently residing in Wilmington, she graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
