Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, currently representing Delaware’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 5 and 6, 2025, addressing recent political developments and reflecting on her experience with House leadership.

On November 5, Blunt Rochester commented on House activity by stating, “This is rich coming from the man who has refused to call the House into session for over a month.”

The following day, she addressed voter ID laws in another post: “What on earth? You don’t need an ID to buy groceries or gas, and every state verifies the identity of its voters. The ‘voter ID laws’ he’s talking about are meant to intimidate and shut people out of our Democratic process— of course we’re not just going to let it happen.” This tweet was published on November 6, 2025.

Later that same day, Blunt Rochester reflected on her time in the House and praised Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “During my time in the House, I came to know @SpeakerPelosi as an effective leader and advocate for American families. She led our caucus during some of America’s most challenging times, from the great recession to COVID-19, championing some of the most consequential”.

Blunt Rochester has served as Delaware’s at-large congressional representative since replacing John Carney in 2017. Born in Philadelphia in 1962 and now residing in Wilmington, she graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in 1985.
