University of Delaware women’s lacrosse defender Lena Stolarick was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, according to an April 13 announcement from the league office. The honor comes after Stolarick’s role in helping her team secure two wins last week and clinch a spot in the 2026 ASUN Championship.
The recognition highlights Stolarick’s defensive contributions, which included five caused turnovers, four ground balls, and a draw control across both games. In Thursday’s match against Kennesaw State, she recorded a career-high four caused turnovers and tied her career best with four ground balls. She added another caused turnover during the win over Coastal Carolina that secured postseason play for Delaware.
Delaware’s defense allowed only three goals against Kennesaw State, matching its season low. The Blue Hens currently lead the conference by allowing just 8.64 goals per game and limiting opponents to an average of 19.2 shot attempts per contest. During their ongoing nine-game winning streak—the program’s longest since the 1999-2000 seasons—the defense has given up only 7.22 goals per game and held six teams under ten goals.
This is Stolarick’s first weekly conference honor and marks the third such award for Delaware this season; Ella Rishko was previously named Defensive Player of the Week on March 30 while Jaclyn Marszal earned Offensive Player of the Week honors on April 6.
Looking ahead, Delaware will play its final two regular-season games on the road beginning with Queens on Thursday, April 16 at noon. The game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
