Four University of Delaware volleyball players have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The announcement was made on Tuesday, December 16.

The athletes recognized are Taylor Holly, Cadence Nguyen, Dylan Norris, and Sila Ozyurek. To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must be at least sophomores both academically and athletically, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, and have participated in at least 90 percent of their team’s contests or started in at least 66 percent.

Taylor Holly, a medical diagnostics major with a cumulative GPA of 3.76, received the award in her first year of eligibility. She played in all 25 matches and appeared in 81 sets this season, averaging 1.04 digs per set with 14 total aces. Her top performance included a season-best 13 digs against FIU on October 18.

Cadence Nguyen earned Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season. A global enterprise management major with a GPA of 3.63, Nguyen played in 23 out of 25 matches during her final season. She averaged 3.66 digs per set and led the team with 27 aces. In Conference USA (CUSA), she ranked eighth in overall digs per set and sixth in CUSA-only matches for the same category. She recorded a career-high 33 digs against Sam Houston on November 14—the highest by any Delaware player since 2018 and the second most by any CUSA player this season—and achieved a double-double in her final career match with 20 digs and 11 assists.

Dylan Norris is a double major in biological sciences and psychology with a minor in women and gender studies; she holds a cumulative GPA of 3.86. This marks her first time earning Academic All-District recognition. Norris appeared in all games this season with thirteen starts, averaging 2.25 kills per set while hitting .246 and recording an average of .88 blocks per set—ranking tenth among CUSA players for blocks per set during conference-only matches.

Sila Ozyurek joined Delaware as an international business major after transferring from UMKC for her last year of eligibility and maintains a perfect cumulative GPA of 4.00. She appeared in twenty-two matches—seventeen as a starter—and averaged over one block per set across all contests as well as CUSA-only games, ranking fifth overall for blocks per set within the conference.
