The University of Delaware women’s golf team has released its spring schedule, as announced by Director of Golf Patty Post. The Fightin’ Blue Hens will participate in five tournaments ahead of their debut at the Conference USA Championship in April.

Delaware begins its season at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational from February 20 to 22, hosted by Mercer University at Great Waters Golf Club in Greensboro, Georgia. Last year, the team finished seventh after a strong final round.

In March, the Blue Hens are scheduled for several events. They will compete at the Daniel Island Invitational on March 2 and 3 in Charleston, South Carolina, followed by the Riverbend Intercollegiate on March 9 and 10 in Sugar Land, Texas. After a week’s break, they head to Tennessee for The Nashville Invitational on March 23 and 24.

On March 28, Delaware will host Navy for a match play event at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington. In their last meeting with Navy in Annapolis, Delaware secured a narrow win.

The regular season concludes with the Terps Invitational on April 5 and 6 at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park. Last year at this event, Delaware finished fifth overall and Alisa Khokhlova won individually with a score of two-under par.

The team’s first appearance at the Conference USA Women’s Golf Championship is set for April 20-22 at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas.

Reflecting on recent performances, Delaware completed its fall campaign with one team victory and two runner-up finishes out of five tournaments. The squad defended its title at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational and saw Rhianna Gooneratne achieve three top-10 finishes during her first five collegiate tournaments.
