The University of Delaware women’s lacrosse team clinched a spot in the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship after defeating Coastal Carolina 14-10 at Delaware Stadium on April 11.

This victory extends the Blue Hens’ winning streak to nine games, bringing their season record to 10-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in conference play. The Chanticleers dropped to 9-6 for the season and are now 2-4 in ASUN competition.

Ella Rishko led Delaware with three goals and an assist, while Morgan Gore and Jaclyn Marszal each recorded hat tricks. Gore’s third goal marked her reaching the milestone of 100 career points. Riley Sturtevant contributed a goal, two assists, four caused turnovers, and matched her personal best with three ground balls. Maggie Porter added two goals, Sophia Muscolino had both a goal and an assist, and Steph Marszal made six saves as goalkeeper. Molly Baumgratz dominated draw controls with eight wins; Rishko added six more draws while Mary Matey tied her career high with five.

The Blue Hens took control early by holding Coastal Carolina scoreless for nearly the entire first quarter and not allowing a shot attempt until late in that period. After leading 3-0 at the end of one quarter, Delaware extended its advantage to as much as ten goals during an eight-goal run spanning the second and third quarters before closing out the game despite a late push from Coastal Carolina.

With this result, Delaware has won nine consecutive games—their longest such streak since achieving ten straight victories between the 1999–2000 seasons—and scored at least thirteen goals in each of those contests for another program record. This is also their third straight season reaching double-digit wins, something last accomplished from 2014 through 2016.

Looking ahead, Delaware will finish its regular season on the road beginning Thursday against Queens at noon; coverage will be available on ESPN+.
