The University of Delaware women’s lacrosse team received four of the Atlantic Sun Conference’s six major postseason awards and had six players named to all-conference teams, according to an April 27 announcement. The honors come after Delaware completed an undefeated 8-0 regular season in conference play.
These recognitions highlight the team’s strong performance this season. Senior Ella Rishko was unanimously chosen as ASUN Offensive Player of the Year, senior Morgan Gore was named Midfielder of the Year, and sophomore Kennedy Radziul earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Head coach Amy Altig was also unanimously selected as Coach of the Year.
Rishko led her team with 48 goals and set a single-season record for draw controls at Delaware with 88. Gore contributed with seven hat tricks this season and reached career milestones in points, ground balls, and draw controls. Radziul played a key role on defense, leading in ground balls and helping hold ten opponents under ten goals this year.
Jaclyn Marszal joined Rishko, Gore, and Radziul on the All-ASUN First Team after recording an ASUN-leading 37 assists. Molly Baumgratz earned second-team honors for her dominance in draw controls, while freshman Maggie Porter made the All-Freshman Team by scoring 13 goals across all games played.
Altig is Delaware’s first conference coach of the year since 1998. Under her leadership, Delaware achieved its longest winning streak since 1983 with eleven consecutive victories and scored at least thirteen goals in eleven straight games—a program record.
Looking ahead, top-seeded Delaware will compete in Jacksonville at the ASUN Championship later this week after earning a bye through quarterfinals.
