The University of Delaware women’s basketball program announced on April 28 that Sanyiah Littlejohn, a transfer from George Mason University, will join the Fightin’ Blue Hens for the upcoming season.

Littlejohn, a 5-foot-7 guard, played her freshman year at George Mason. During her time with the Patriots, she appeared in 11 games and recorded 19 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals. She also converted six out of ten free throw attempts.

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Littlejohn graduated from Lansdale Catholic High School in 2025. While at Lansdale Catholic, she scored over one thousand points and contributed to both a Philadelphia Catholic League Championship and a Pennsylvania state championship. In her senior year, she was named second team all-state and earned First Team All-Catholic honors twice. As a junior she was selected Second Team All-Catholic and served as team captain during her final season.

Littlejohn was born in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. She is the daughter of Shannel Littlejohn and Tyrik Short and has four siblings. Her cousin Cheryl Littlejohn played basketball at the University of Tennessee during the 1986-87 season when Tennessee won the Division I National Championship.

Sarah Jenkins said Tuesday that adding Littlejohn brings experience to Delaware’s roster as they prepare for next season.
