The University of Delaware men’s tennis team earned the No. 5 seed in the 2026 Conference USA Tennis Championship, according to an announcement on April 13.
This seeding marks a significant moment for the Fightin’ Blue Hens as they prepare to compete against the No. 4 Kennesaw State Owls on Friday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It will be Delaware’s first match against a Conference USA opponent since joining the league in July of last year.
Delaware finished its regular season with a record of 13 wins and nine losses, while Kennesaw State completed their season with a record of fifteen wins and six losses, including one conference loss.
The matchup is expected to provide both teams with an opportunity to showcase their skills within their new conference environment. For Delaware, this tournament represents an important step as they integrate into Conference USA competition.
