The University of Delaware men’s golf team has announced its spring schedule, which includes five tournaments leading up to the program’s first appearance in the Conference USA Championship.
Head Coach Brendon Post outlined the team’s itinerary for the upcoming season. Delaware will open play at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico, from February 8 to 10. The event is hosted by UNCG and will be held at Palmas Del Mar Flamboyan.
After a break, the Blue Hens return to competition at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on March 23 and 24 in Williamsburg, Virginia. The tournament is hosted by William & Mary at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club. The last time Delaware participated in this event was in spring 2021, when they finished eighth.
The team will then compete in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on March 30 and 31 in Semmes, Alabama. Hosted by South Alabama at Magnolia Grove, this 54-hole tournament saw Delaware finish fifth last year. Arsit Areephun tied a program record with a second-round score of seven-under-par 64 during that event.
In April, Delaware will play at the Giles-Spratley Collegiate (April 6-7) hosted by Richmond at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Virginia.
The regular season concludes with the Rutherford Intercollegiate (April 18-19), hosted by Penn State. Last spring, Delaware won this tournament after posting consecutive under-par rounds over two days—their first title since the 2021-22 season. Ikk Iampongsai and Matthew Homer both finished among the top ten individually.
For their first time, Delaware will compete in the Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship from April 27 to 30 at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Arkansas. The championship begins with three days of stroke play; then, the top four teams advance to match play semifinals and finals on the final day.
Delaware enters this stretch following a strong fall season where they claimed one team victory and placed among the top five teams three times out of five tournaments. Their win came at their home Blue Hen Intercollegiate tournament—marking their first such victory since college golf transitioned to multi-team events—with Arsit Areephun earning his first collegiate individual title after shooting seven-under-par over three rounds.
Coach Brendon Post said: “We are excited about our spring schedule as it gives us great opportunities to compete against strong fields ahead of our first Conference USA Championship.”
