The University of Delaware men’s golf team finished its first season as a member of Conference USA by placing 10th at the 2026 Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship, according to an April 29 announcement. The Fightin’ Blue Hens posted a three-round total score of 12-over par 876 at Texarkana Country Club.

The championship format allowed the top four teams after three rounds to advance to match play semifinals and finals. Delaware’s team carded rounds of 297, 285, and 294 for their final placement.

Individually, Arsit Areephun tied for eleventh place with scores of 74, 67, and 71 for a total of four-under par. Aryan Vuradi tied for thirty-sixth with a score of three-over par across his rounds. Matthew Homer finished seven-over par in forty-fourth place, while Caleb Itzoe completed his tournament fourteen-over par in forty-seventh position. Ikk Iampongsai played two rounds and Cheng-En Wu participated in the final round.

Over the course of the event, Delaware totaled forty-two birdies as a team. In Tuesday’s second round, they recorded fifteen birdies and achieved their best team round at three-under par. Areephun made six birdies during his five-under-par performance on Tuesday and added three more on Wednesday for eleven total birdies during the tournament. Vuradi collected eight birdies overall while Itzoe had ten across fifty-four holes; Homer contributed six.

The conclusion of this championship also marked the end of Delaware’s season. The Blue Hens secured four top-five finishes as a team during the year and won the inaugural Blue Hen Intercollegiate with a score of three-under par in the fall. Individually, members recorded eleven top-10 finishes and fifty-one rounds at even or under par throughout the season.
