The University of Delaware has released its baseball schedule for the 2026 season, marking its debut in Conference USA. Head Coach Greg Mamula announced that the Fightin’ Blue Hens will play a total of 55 games, with 25 scheduled at their home field, Bob Hannah Stadium.

The team begins the season on the road in North Carolina with a three-game series against Elon on February 13 and 15, and a single game against High Point on February 14. The Blue Hens’ first home game is set for February 17 against La Salle.

After their home opener, Delaware travels to Starkville, Mississippi for a three-game matchup with Mississippi State from February 20-22. Mississippi State has made over 40 NCAA Tournament appearances and secured the College Baseball World Series title in 2021.

Non-conference play continues at Bob Hannah Stadium with back-to-back series versus Rider (February 27-March 1) and Canisius (March 6-8). Midweek games include matchups against Maryland (February 24 & March 3) and Penn (March 10).

Delaware’s Conference USA play opens with a road series at LA Tech from March 13-15. LA Tech recently appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2024. The following weekend, Delaware hosts Dallas Baptist University from March 20-22. Dallas Baptist finished last season with a record of 41-18 and has qualified for the NCAA tournament in most recent years.

Other conference opponents visiting Bob Hannah Stadium include Kennesaw State (March 27-29), Missouri State (April 10-12), FIU (May 1-3), and WKU—the defending CUSA Tournament Champions—(May 14-16). Away conference games are scheduled against New Mexico State (April 2-4), Middle Tennessee (April 17-19), Liberty (April 24-26), and Sam Houston (May 8-10).

Throughout conference play, midweek contests are set against St. Joe’s (March 17 & April either on April 21 or 22), Rutgers (March 24), Delaware State (April 14 & 28), and La Salle again on May 5.

Delaware will also participate as reigning champions in the Liberty Bell Classic tournament starting March 31 versus Rider. Depending on results, they will face Lehigh or St. Joe’s in round two on April 7. The championship is slated for April 21 at Citizens Bank Park.

The Conference USA Tournament is scheduled to be held May 20–24 in Kennesaw, Georgia, hosted by Kennesaw State University. The top eight teams after regular season play will compete under a double-elimination format culminating in a single-elimination championship game.

Baseball fans can now place deposits for season tickets. Individual tickets are priced at $10 per game ($5 for youth ages three to twelve). Season ticket packages offer a fifty percent discount compared to individual rates; group incentives and additional gameday experiences are also planned. All seating remains general admission at Bob Hannah Stadium, while UD students continue to receive free admission to all home games.

Coach Greg Mamula stated: “We’re excited about our move into Conference USA this year and look forward to competing against some of the best programs in college baseball.”
