The University of Delaware baseball team secured a 14-1 victory over Canisius in a game shortened to seven innings at Bob Hannah Stadium on Saturday. The win brings the Fightin’ Blue Hens’ overall record to 6-9 for the season.

Vincent Davis led Delaware’s offense, going 3-for-5 with two home runs, five RBIs, and a triple. Jeremy Wolf contributed with three hits in four at-bats, driving in one run and scoring twice. Other multi-hit performances included LT Cockrill and Evan Bouldin, each with two hits in four at-bats, while Matthew Minckler added a home run and three RBIs.

Freshman Chase Deibler started on the mound for Delaware, pitching four innings, allowing one earned run, and striking out four batters. Deibler earned his first collegiate win. Relievers Ryan Pugh and Evan Lewis combined for the final three innings without allowing any runs or hits.

Canisius scored first in the opening inning before Delaware responded with three runs in the second. Wolf’s aggressive baserunning helped spark the rally after he escaped a rundown between several Canisius fielders. Anthony DeCesare drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Sal Mineo added an RBI groundout.

Delaware extended its lead to 4-1 when Wolf drove in Davis during the third inning. In the fourth inning, Delaware scored seven runs highlighted by Cockrill’s RBI single, Davis’s first home run of the day, an Anthony Charles RBI double, and Minckler’s three-run homer. Davis capped off his performance with another home run—a three-run shot—in the fifth inning that brought Delaware’s total to 14 runs.

The series against Canisius will conclude Sunday at 1 p.m., with coverage available on ESPN+.

Season and individual tickets are available for all of Delaware’s 2026 home games.
